Farm Census

About Farm Census

Farm Census turns the USDA Census of Agriculture into readable pages: one for every state, one for each of 36 crops and animals, and a profile for each of the 288 counties that stand out nationally or within their state. Every number on the site comes from the census; the comparisons, ranks and charts are computed here from those numbers.

The site is written and maintained by Audrey Griffin. It is an independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by the US Department of Agriculture or the National Agricultural Statistics Service.

Farm Census reports what the census measured. It does not give advice on farming, land, finance, insurance or any purchase.
